Nalini Continues Italian Tradition, Introduces 2013 Summer LineHaving outfitted many of the sport’s best over the years, Nalini continues their Italian-made ways with an all new line up for Summer 2013. Nalini and their parent company Moa have a history of supplying top Pro tour teams – Cofidis, FDJ, Movistar, Robobank, Lampre, Astana, and Euskaltel Euskadi, all built off Vincenzo’s original need to sell locally made jerseys and gloves at the velodrome to help offset the fees associated with racing his bike.  Since then, the technology sure has evolved, though Nalini’s ethos has not. Italian design, Italian style, Italian made.

In the US, Nalini is imported by Albabici – to call them Italian cycling product specialists would be a fair bet. We’ll mostly focus on what’s new that will be available in the US, though don’t hesitate to check out Nalini’s site to see the full line.

Highlighting the summer men’s jerseys for Nalini are the Cyperus, Brionia, and the Osmunda. The Cyperus (first jersey above) features sleek “Raglan” sleeves, silicone hem gripper, 25cm front zip, regular fit (as opposed to Nalini’s slim fit), and Moa’s MantoDry breathable polyester fabric.  Available in White, Red, Blue or Green; sizes S-XXXL. MSRP: $105.

The Nalini Brionia (second jersey above) is part of Nalini’s compression line which is made with an ultra-light polyester compression fabric that supposedly improves muscle performance and prevents lactate acid build up. The Brionia also features a hidden zipper that is 30cm long, three rear pockets, and printed silicone grippers on the hem and sleeves as well as reflective transfers. Available in Black or White; sizes S-XXXL. MSRP: $200.

Also new for 2013 is the Nalini Osmunda (not pictured), which is a slim-fitting, medium-weight jersey with unique 3/4-length sleeves. We’ve seen quite a few 3/4 sleeve mountain bike jerseys but not very many on the road side. The Osmunda also features an anatomical fit, full-length zipper, three back pockets, and a hem silicone gripper. Available in Black or Light Blue; sizes S-XXXL. MSRP: $135.

Two other new jerseys are also worth noting are the Nalini Juncus (above) and Camedrio, both of which are short-sleeve jerseys also made with MantoDry fabric. The Juncus features fitted sleeves, three pockets, rear mesh insert, two-way full-length zip, a Velcro-fastened central pocket, and Nalini regular fit. Available in White, Red, Grey or Black; sizes S-XXXL. MSRP: $140.

For Summer 2013 Nalini is the ideal solution for varying conditions. Medium weight and windproof, the Guarana can be converted from jacket to short sleeve jersey in an instant, thanks to Nalini’s Quick-Burst system. Other key features of the Guarana include full-length zipper, stretch-fabric short sleeves, wind and UV protection, an anti-abrasive collar insert, hem silicone gripper, sleeve pockets, and even a microfiber glasses cleaning cloth. Available in White, Red, Blue, and Hi Viz yellow; sizes S-XXXL: MSRP: $300.

The Citiso delivers a snug, light-compression fit, and the comfort of Nalini’s new Series 4/100 Carbon Pad. Other features include breathable bib straps, UV protection (no vitamins though), reflective trim, and silicone leg grippers. Available in Black; sizes S-XXXL. MSRP: $260
