Misfit Psycles brown bag artists drink cozy

  • While we were hoping for a fat bike, the latest “news” from Misfit Psycles are these Artist Series eco-friendly Ghetto Cozies. Equally adept at hiding your beer or your hard stuff in perfectly conspicuous plain site, they retail for just $5 each. Every purchase prevents Peter Keiller from doing something truly productive, unless you count putting a smile on our faces. Yes, Peter, you make us happy despite your best intentions. See you at TSEpic.
  • In more serious news, the family of Mark Bender could use your help. As passionate members of the cycling community, Mark and Sarah’s lives were shattered during a recent vacation when Mark suffered a complete c6/c7 spinal cord injury. How can you help? Easy, by buying coffee. Awesome coffee, at an awesome price – $12.50! To help out Doma is donating 100% of the proceeds from each 1 lb bag of Doma La Bicicletta coffee directly to the Bender family. We all love coffee, so get your caffeine fix and do some good in the process.
  • BicyClick, the quick connect gadget that holds two bikes together upright and/or snaps it to a wall, is now available through their website. Check our post here for more details.
  • Industry 9 has donated another wheelset to benefit the Western North Carolina Trips For Kids. Only 100 tickets will be sold at $20 each to raffle the wheel set – those odds aren’t bad, and if you don’t win you know your $20 goes for a good cause.
  • Also, Ryan Sigsbey has devoted his Tour Divide experience to raising money for the same chapter of Trips For Kids. Keep an eye on his blog to follow his journey and to make a donation.
  • Follow Prolly is Not Probably and the Mission Workshop crew as they ride through China’s Yangtze river delta on a photo exploration of bike culture with the help of the guys at Factory Five. They’ll be posting updates on their blog as they travel through the world’s largest urban population in Shanghai and also explore the ancient architecture of the Chinese countryside. The tour starts March 23.

Wishing Mark a speedy recovery. I’d probably buy coffee online for no reason at all if prompted, but glad to know proceeds are going to a good place. Fabulous idea for a fundraiser, and cool to see DOMA donating a full 100%.
