SKS Slims Down X-Tra Dry with New S-Blade Road Fender

In 1990, SKS introduced the first quick release seatpost mount fender, the X-Tra Dry. That fender was based on the use of 26″ wheels, which were the most prevalent at the time. Seeing a need for a better fender option for the 700c wheels out there today, SKS has introduced a longer, skinnier version of the X-Tra Dry, the S-Blade.

Its minimalist design is perfect for road and fixed gear bikes, with an extra long profile for extra spray coverage when you need it. Like the X-Tra Dry, the S-Blade has a wrap around seatpost clamp and angle adjustment for the perfect fit, and will retail for $19.

Looks are not too bad at all, and if it works then great for $19…
