Mmm…looks like they attach at the end of the bars.

Dia Compe brake levers. The original ones were named 290 and came in metallic gray but this is the newer black “two finger” type. Maybe the model name was 292? Year might be 1989-90.

Attached at end of bars?!? Aaahhh, you single speed youngsters!

Not so sure–how would the bars fit through the clamp with that cable exit? I think they are end-of-bar TT style levers.

Is it a campy seatpost?

I had a pair of those on my Cannondale Beast of the East! Amazing how overbuilt some components were then.

AHahahahahaha, Ahahahaa The Campy seatpost comments are so funny, oh it just kills me to read them every week.

It just never gets old.

Obviously they are Campy’s attempt at recumbent style brake levers from the early 90’s.

those things worked as terribly as they looked. What cheezy tandem did these come standard on?

Yup, DC brake levers.
Had ’em on my 89-ish GT Karakoram. They are steel, IIRC, as were the stem (purple splatter-painted to match), bars and seatpost on that brute!

Have em on an 88 Karakoram, 88 GT Avalanche
