GoPro’s iPhone app is finally out, giving you remote control and live view of up to 50 Hero2 HD cameras.

Now you can set up your camera’s with a bit more information at your fingertips, including resolution settings. The live view should be the saving grace for anyone that’s ever used a helmet or chest mount only to get home and realize the angle was all wrong.

The app’s free, but you’ll need their $99 WiFi BacPac to make it work. Just search GoPro in the App Store.

Pretty awesome. It seems that with the WiFi bacpac that Cam is getting a little on the chunky side for helmet use. But of course the versatility of these cams is huge. Lots of people will benefit from this control for other applications.
