Breaking from some of the more ‘urban’ packs shown at the show, Boreas were on hand at Interbike showing a distinctive line of very clean-looking and lightweight packs.  With its variable suspension and expandable back panels, the company make the case for their Bolinas as a commuter bag/daypack.  Details after the break…

The Boreas’ patent-pending “Super-Tramp” suspension system is extremely lightweight and adjusts from nearly flat (to maximize carrying capacity) to healthily bowed (to maximize ventillation).  The whole package carries 31L of stuff and comes in at an impressive 20Oz (1,023g).  There’s some interesting thinking going on here that could make one of Boreas’ packs worth seeking out…
