New Kali Avita PC Helmet Brings More Protection, Lower Price

New Kali Avita PC Polycarbonate mountain bike helmet brings price down on carbon fiber version

Kali Protectives’ new Avita PC takes their original Avita Carbon helmet and subs in polycarbonate to bring the price point down without changing the protection.

The Avita PC has 23 vents, uses their Composite Fusion construction and should come in just slightly above the carbon’s 300g weight. Where the carbon model had visible carbon fiber composite panels between the vents, the Avita PC has a one-piece inmolded shell with polycarbonate reinforcements at the front. Visor included, price coming soon. White shown below the break…

I have the Avita Cr. Picked it up on sale. Great helmet. Very comfortable fit and excellent adjustment system.

I think under what I can comfortably say are the worst graphics I’ve ever seen is a decent looking lid. Just make the damn thing red or white.

Don’t bash the graphics until you try it on. The shape dictates more of its appeal than its color scheme. That all said, it’d take something serious for me to move away from a Fox Flux as an XC lid, and while I respect Kali’s emphasis on protection and their composite fusion tech, I guess the matter of vanity is still strong in me. No one wants to look like a dork.

MissedThePoint: You look like a dork with any bike helmet, just like everyone else.
