Endura Urban Line Shell JacketEndura‘s been a go-to brand for wet weather MTB gear, comfy jerseys, bibs and baggies. We’ve had great experience with Endura products in the past, like the Pakajak showerproof jacket. Now they’ve dropped the Urban line – all-black, all-weather commuter clothing that gears the rider from head to toe in hot and cold weather.

Above is the seam-sealed waterproof Urban shell jacket that can be compacted to 2.5L. Construction is from breathable, stretchy houndstooth weave fabric with reflective trimming on the sleeves and rear. The hood is compatible with helmets and has an internal piping structure to keep the shape. On the chest, there’s a napoleon pocket that conceals a glasses wipe and media port. Available in sizes S-XXL, the pricing is about $130 at varying online retailers.

The Urban long sleeve jersey and short sleeve polo get a coolmax/merino blend stretchy fabric to wick sweat and keep the rider cool. Fit is said to be cycle specific yet fashionable off the bike too. Concealed buttons run up the chest and there’s a zip security pocket on the rear. Both are available in S-XXL. At various online retailers the long sleeve runs about $80, short sleeve $70.

The rear includes two reflective-trimmed zip pockets and a u-lock loop. They’re slim-fit, rock a seamless crotch and rise higher on the back than the front to optimize comfort while riding. Belts are included and sizing is S-XXL. Pants run about $90, shorts $70.

Endura Urban Line Leather Glove Endura Urban Line Cycling Cap

They top it all off with Urban leather gloves and a cycling cap. Gloves get light padding on the palm, twin needle stitching, and a wrap around velcro wrist strap. They’re sold in XS-XXL for about $50. The stretchy three-panel cycling cap is lined with a sweat wicking inner, a rear elastic strap, and terry sweat band. Pricing is about $30 in M and L at online retailers.

I don’t want to be a ninja on my bike commute, especially in inclement weather. I’ve got some endura gear for mountain biking (and love it), but this is a terribly executed.

agree with Mike, I cant even see and Scotch Tape or reflective bits! Endura are in Scotland are they not? Surely its raining there and dark a lot of the time too?

MADNESS!

Altura Night vision is the way ahead for commuter clothing.

What you guys^^ have to realized is that not everyone who’s interested in riding a bike wants to look like a clown. Yes, it’s true, most bicycle specific clothing is clownish and is a turn-off to some people. For those people there is clothing like this.
Visibility can be achieved through other means like lights, the helmet, and/or accessories like a reflective vest.

Gillis your right. I love neon colors on my MTB clothing but when I cycle through my town Haarlem I don’t wanna look like some neon billboard.

Nice comments and feedback for sure, but the new Endura urban riding Collection is meant to be the antithesis of the stock hi-Viz and black commuter uniform. Minimal, detailed, and confident, yet supremely practical and versatile, without being elitist. Styled to look as great off the bike, as it works on the bike. You can wear these pieces if you work in a shop, office, etc – yet you can get a beer after work in this stuff and you won’t be the guy in hi-Viz in the bar, not getting dates or phone numbers.

Simply put – this stuff will get you dates.

@Mike, I invite you to look at http://www.endurasport.com and check out out commuter gear such as the Luminite jacket, pants, and booties, as well as the Gridlock jacket and overtrousers.
