Spot Brand’s new Rocker Ti SS has an oversized 3/2 titanium frame that’s made specifically for Gates’ belt drive.

Uses an updated Kobe dropout with dual tension screws to fix belt/chain tension and prevent pull back from braking forces (shown below). Dropout has a shaped, snap-in cutout that pops the wheel into place, giving a tactile feel letting you know the wheel’s all the way in. It also let’s the belt tension hold the wheel in place while you tighten the skewer or axle bolt. It’s a little touch, but something that’s sure to be appreciated when fixing a flat trailside.

Frame has a 44 headtube and PFBB30 bottom bracket. Complete bike will come with the new Fox 32 CTD fork, New Mavic Crossmax SLR 29 wheels and X0 cranks with Gates belt drive.

Same geometry as their steel Rocker bike, but the frame is about a pound lighter. headtube is 69.25° with a 100mm travel fork. $3,899 frame and $6,299 complete.

On left, note the backwards “P” shape of the axle dropout. As you pull the wheel in, it snaps into place and stays there. As always, Spot’s dropouts put the weight of the bike and rider on a larger platform rather than relying on just the mounting bolts to support everything.

Spot Brand Mod Disc brake steel singlespeed cyclocross bike

New Mod Disc is a new disc brake version of their Mod cyclocross bike. It also gets the belt drive and Kobe dropouts.

Has their carbon fork with straight alloy steerer. Out of the box it’s 18.5lbs. Frame is steel and is disc specific with guides for cables I you wanna swap dropouts and run gears, same with the Rocker. Retail is $1,399 for the frame  and $3,399 for the complete bike with BB7 brakes and Truvativ post and stem.

Yeah can someone clarify pricing on the complete Mod disc? Frame alone was $1,399 last year.

Hi Everyone,
I have a question but not about this bike. However I feel the people in this comment section will have an answer. I bought a 2019 Giant Momentum UX 3 Speed. The Shimano Nexus Internal Hub SG-3D55 is broken from rising in 3rd gear only. 1st and 2nd gear are useless for where I ride. Great his is my winter bike, 27.5 inch tires, belt drive, disc brake. I am trying to find a replacement hub that will accept my belt sprocket and my disc brake. Is this possible? This bike seems to have it only I’m not going to spend $4000. My Momentum UX was $580 brand new and I now know why. What is my best play here??? Any help greatly appreciated.
