Wave to Chris in the shiny glasses!

In addition to a revised (and more secure feeling) adjustable-height Rollsys retention system on their Oasiz and Nirvana models, Lazer were showing some novel arm-less glasses at Interbike last week. The Magneto line, which mates with Magneto-equipped Helium helmets, uses (any guesses?) magnetic stubs where the arms would normally go. Height and reach adjustable, they seemed stable and virtually ready to go. Hit ‘more’ for more pictures, availability, and (surprisingly reasonable) pricing- and some very striking helmets in other models…

Landing in February, the $100-120 Magneto glasses will be shipping with standard as well as the pictured magnetic arms, should your helmet be dirty or wet. If it works well in practice and gains traction, it would be neat to see this as an open standard…

Also from Lazer was this line of high-viz helmets with fade-resistant integral coloring. Not for everyone, but they’ll make the rider impossible to miss in the peleton, stand out in traffic, and more difficult to confuse with a deer come hunting season. Is anyone out there bold enough to pull off the matching glasses as well? Send pictures…
