  • The Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show will return to Bend, OR, this year on October 29 & 30. The event will host framebuilders and related bicycle parts and gear manufacturers, and it just happens to coincide with Bend’s Day of the Dead Cyclocross Festival and Halloween edition of the Cross Crusade.
  • Speaking of small builders, the UCI and The Framebuilder’s Collective have signed an agreement that will reduce the homologation costs of participating in the UCI’s approval process. This should help custom and small framebuilders get their road frames allowed into UCI-sanctioned events. Check the link to see the frame requirements and costs.
  • Scott Sports is sponsoring the Sun Valley All Mountain, an all new event being offered at the USAC XC National Championships that combines the scores of competitors in the XC and the Super-D disciplines over two days. SCOTT Sports is also the Official Bike Sponsor of the USA Cycling Mountain Bike Cross-Country National Championships and the Presenting Sponsor of the Ride Sun Valley Bike Festival.

Winner will be announced May 12th. Flyer after the break.
  • Velocite’s U.S. distributor, DNA, will be making a donation to the Raisin Hope Foundation for each frame purchased. Raisin Hope supports research for traumatic brain injuries.
