We found Beg Bicycles whilst skimming through design, fashion and other sites as we compile ideas for our own website’s pending makeover.
Beg makes some great looking bikes with classic lines, but it’s their accessories for both the bike and activities which may be reached by bike that originally caught our eye.
The Porter’s Crate at left is like an old milk crate. Made of Sapele hardwood, the bottom has holes placed for securing it to their or other brand racks via straps, bungies or ties. MSRP is £85.
Hit ‘more’ to see the other accessories, goods, bikes and dream of the lifestyle portrayed by so many travel mags…
The Grocer’s Basket is a large, rectangular wicker basket that’s made by hand in Somerset, England, so each one is slightly different. Same mounting as the Porter (shown again at bottom right). MSRP is £55.
The Bertie is the gentlemen’s bike with some cargo capacity (above), and the Billy is simply for cavorting about town:
Both bikes feature Shimano Nexus hubs and front dynamo hub powering Busch and Muller Lumotech lights, and both have Brooks leather saddles and the tripod kickstands. The Billy adds stainless steel polished rims and an integrated Axa Defender lock.
The Bella (above) and Betty (below) share the same features as the men’s bikes, but the Betty gets the Axa lock this time ’round.
Both men’s and lady’s bicycles are available in two sizes each, with bespoke options available for extra tall folks.
Other cool stuff for living the life:
Calfskin leather messenger, fits up to a 17″ laptop and can be worn as a backpack, too.
Leather bound insulated 0.5 liter flask.
Bonded leather six pack cooler. This is what’s been missing from my life. They have more goodies on their website.
