Shamrock Cycles highlight was this upgraded Celtic Cross bike for a customer. It’s designed to be a raceable cyclocross bike that can double as an everyday commuter or rando. It has quite a few trick features that let it shed the commuter/rando accessories on race day, lots of pics after the break.

The racks are attached to the fender, which lets you simply unbolt the rack, rotate it backwards and the fenders come off with the rack, done in under a minute. The front rack slides down off the fork after removing the wheel. Fenders are stainless steel.

Rather than the “stock” pulley wheel that many manufacturers big and small use, which has a partial cover that can collect mud, they use a house-made cable pulley is simply a sealed bearing with a groove machined into it with a dremel tool. They claim it has zero maintenance or issues. In the pic on the right, note the fender mount tab.

Leather washers with stainless steel bolts keeps paint from scratching…and look gorgeous. Anywhere they are mounted directly on the larger tubes, there’s a shamrock-shaped bit for that little something extra.

The Celtic Cross uses Columbus Spirit tubing with Sachs lugs and Dave Kirk’s dropouts with stainless steel washers brazed onto either side to protect the paint. Front brake stop is mounted at the fork to prevent the shudder that can happen when the cable stops up at the top of the headset (they claim).

Proof that this bike can turn into a racer. Frame starts at $1,750 and $250 for the fork. This bike is $4,700.

The Monster Cross is designed for fire roads, gravel and single track. It has internal cable routing and a chainstay mounted disc brake. $1750 (frame).

Shamrock’s stainless steel road bike blends two different brands’ steel tubing. The front triangle is Reynolds 953 with KVA stainless rear triangle. 3.1lbs for a 58.5, and complete is 16.4lbs as shown.

They left the fillet brazing on the headtube exposed for aesthetic purposes. $2,550 frame.

they claim right. all about fork flex and cable tension variation.
