Velocon Sports Named Exclusive U.S. Distributor of Storck Bicycles

Long-term agreement with German bicycle product designer and manufacturer provides innovative and timeless offerings for American retailers

CONCORD, Mass. – February 28, 2011 -Velocon Sports today announced it has signed a multi-year agreement with German-based Storck Bicycle to be the exclusive United States distributor for the company’s road and mountain bike products.

Storck is known for technically advanced carbon fiber bicycles, including the superlight Fascenario road bikes and the Aero2 time trial and triathlon bike with adjustable seat tube angle and integrated brakes.

Founded in 1995 in Bad Camberg, Germany, Storck has established itself as a leader in bicycle design and innovation, garnering multiple awards from cycling publications and at Eurobike’s annual design competition. Storck currently has 41 U.S. independent bicycle dealers. Its goal is to expand that number, and maintain its focus on exclusivity and customer service.

“Velocon will be a great partner for our efforts in the United States,” said Markus Storck, founder of Storck Bicycle. “Their commitment to the brand and emphasis on providing a quality experience for dealers makes it an easy decision for us and a welcome addition for discerning American cyclists.”

“U.S. retailers are looking for products that help them differentiate their store from the competitors down the street,” said Husam Sahin, co-founder and president of Massachusetts-based Velocon Sports. “Storck is one of those brands that can help them do that. They are innovative, one-of-a-kind, and exclusive. We are looking forward to helping retailers grow their business and Storck grow its business in this market as well.”

U.S. sales and distribution for Stork was previously handled by South Carolina-based Hawley through August, 2010. Since that time, Storck managed U.S. sales efforts from its German headquarters until signing the new agreement with Velocon.

Unfortunately Storck does not have a valid USA Warranty. I sent a frame to have it checked or replaced 2 Months ago and have gotten nothing but excuses that range from a ” seconds frame :”something clarified by their former Distributor Hawley to ” cover the defects with Stickers “. To date I have no frame , no answer , and little hope. I feel sorry for Velocon Sports . Representing a reputable Brand that stands behind their product is easy . Having to deal with unsatisfied clients without the leverage needed to get solutions is very hard.
