2011 SE Racing PK Ripper Looptail

SE Racing and Oakley. If ever two rad companies with deep roots in the history of BMX were to team up, these two industry leaders should surely be on the bill. SE Racing was started back in the 70’s by Scot Breithaupt when he was 14, and quickly grew to become one of the most recognized names in the young sport of BMX at the time. Originally selling just hats, stickers, and t-shirts, Scot went on to design his own bikes and eventually created the Looptail frame (above) and the well known Quadangle frame.

Oakley of course, started their empire with their wildly popular BMX and MX grips. You knew that, right? Long before the first Oakley shades ever hit the market, Oakley was blowing up the dirt scene with the famous B1-B grips, which haven’t been available since the mid-80’s. Until now….

Oakley and SE have teamed up to create 3 extremely limited edition products that you can check out after the break!

Obviously, the news of the reissue of the famed B1-B grip is pretty big news, however, that’s not the full story. While the B1-B’s will be available in 5 colorways with only 500 pairs of each made, only the 2011 PK Ripper Looptail will be offered with black on black B1-B’s. If you want the grips, you gotta buy the bike which may be difficult due to the fact that only 200 will be available in the US for $700.

And what better way to hold on to those custom B1-B’s, than a pair of SE Racing Oakley Factory Pilot Gloves! This “Team Fit” glove dons the classic SE Racing & Oakley Factory Pilot logos. However, this glove isn’t just a resprayed version of the standard Factory Pilot, as they feature a short & tight cuff for greater wrist articulation, a perforated thumb knuckle pad, out turned seams on the fingers, and “B1-B” grip inspired finger grippers for excellent adhesion to the grips. Of course, they are offered in the classic SE Racing blue and brown.

The SE x Oakley Factory Pilot gloves will be available in the USA at select SE retailers & at www.BUYSESTUFF.com in April 2011 with an MSRP of $30

Last, but not least, what would a classic Oakley and SE collaboration be without a limited edition Oakley Frogskin? When I say limited, it is extremely limited as in 200 total pairs with 100 of those already shipped out to international stores. The remaining 100 pairs for the US market will only be available at very select SE retailers, so you better start looking! MSRP is set for $120,  find out more at SE Racing.
