FSA just announced a voluntary recall of all Gossamer BB30 non-drive crank arms following reports that the bolt shoulder can crack and break if the installer exceeds the recommended torque when tightening the crank bolt. Affected units have serial numbers beginning with 10B, 10C, and 10D.

Serial numbers are located on the backside of the crankarm by pedal threads. MegaExo crankarms and Gossamer BB30 Triple cranksets are not affected. OEM placements affected include Cannondale and Bianchi, models listed after the break…

Gossamer BB30 Cranksets have been assembled as original equipment on the following bicycles for Europe :

Cannondale:
Synapse Alloy 105 / Apex
Super Six 5 105
Synapse Carbon 105 / Apex
CAAD 8 105
CAAD 10 105

Bianchi:
SEMPRE Veloce 10v
SEMPRE 105
SEMPRE Ultegra

Boardman:
CX Pro
