lance-armstrong-press-mugshot In what was possibly a little too nice, Lance Armstrong shared his views on ESPN’s Tony Kornheiser’s March 11 anti-cyclist rant today.

In a 16-minute conversation, Armstrong basically said it amazes him how drivers will wait behind buses, tractors, trains and joggers, slow down or give extra room for dogs and squirrels, but when it comes to cyclists they just get all bent out of shape and act inhuman.

Referring to both motorists and cyclists, Armstrong said “we’re both going to be here forever” and suggested that motorists give us a little more room and that we cyclists stop riding five abreast.

He even said that he tries to get riders back into single-file formation when someone rides up alongside him to chat…and I wholeheartedly agree.
