NAHBS 2010 – Unlike the modern-retro mix of Cherubim’s blue and chrome Steelmaster (see this post, updated with more photos), their other bike was this thoroughly modern Speedmaster, a slick Di2 bike with excellent hidden cable routing and plenty of subtle little lug details.

Starting with a steel frame built with modern features like an integrated seatmast and Shimano’s electric Dura-Ace Di2 shifting and deep-rim wheels, Cherubim applied their trademark style throughout.  All the photos and details you could ever want, after the break…

Di2 cables pop out of the frame at the last possible spot to keep an ultra clean look.  The “C” and various shapes in the lugs find their way throughout the frame.

Bottom bracket shell gets the artsy details too, and check out the cable exit for the front derailleur.

Underneath, the rear brake and Di2 battery are hidden from the air and from view…

…which allows for this very elegant seatstay bridge.

The hard-edged, mechanical looking brakes were the only thing on the Speedmaster that didn’t flow, but they are pretty BA looking.

These smooth, sloping fork crown lugs weren’t the norm, most builders used flat-top lugs.
