Trek Bicycle Corporation just announced that they’re seeking someone to manage their Trek Women Brand, among other open positions listed on their website.  Here’s the skinny:

Trek Bicycle Corp. is currently looking to add a new member to our team to manage our Trek Women Brand. Trek Women is a group of people dedicated to ensuring that Trek products designed and produced specifically for women are the best in the cycling industry. This group of enthusiastic athletes and professionals are tasked with creating an avid community of female riders through participation and community within cycling. The Brand Manager candidate should have unrelenting energy for the encouragement of an active lifestyle. An understanding of the global business environment, identifying opportunities while activating a marketing plan that optimizes key resources within a budget is key to the role of the Trek Women Brand Manager.

Duties of the Trek Women Brand Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating and activating a strategic marketing plan
  • Media, consumer, social, and dealer communications
  • Event planning and coordination
  • Advertising in all forms; print, web, etc.
  • Development of sales tools for Trek retailers
  • Direction and production of consumer and retailer advertising

Key skills include:

  • An understanding of consumer motivations
  • Comfort with a variety of social media outlets
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • The ability to lead as well as work within a team
  • Problem solving skills
  • Exceptional work ethic, integrity, and the drive to produce only great work
