The Spring 2010 The Company Store catalog had this wicker and wood bicycle on the cover but, sadly, it was not for sale anywhere in the catalog. Anyone know who makes this? I’ve stared at it for a while now and can’t tell if the stays and seat tube are just wrapped in wicker or actually wood as the down- and top-tube appear to be. And I’m not quite sure what that rear brake cable is doing other than activating a big hub brake of some sort (click the image above to enlarge it).
Anywhoo, that wicker seat is wicked cool, and the chainguard ain’t too shabby either.
