INTERBIKE 2009WTB has several new and redesigned saddles, including the totally new Valcon above.

The Valcon is a long, narrow saddle (133mm x 274mm) intended for road and mountain bike racing, and it’s the first saddle from WTB that’s available with a “Lux Zone” center cut out (Carbon SLT model shown).  It’s available in three versions:

  • Carbon SLT (black – Ti rails – leather – carbon composite shell – DNA padding – 230g)
  • Team Carbon (white – NiCro rails – synthetic – carbon composite shell – DNA padding – 240g)
  • Pro Black (all black – cromoly rails – synthetic – Lux Zone cutout – 270g)

They’ve got a number of other new or refreshed bike seats, all shown after the break…

The Deva’s not a new model, but they’ve made a girlier version for the ladies by adding some flourish to the cover.  It’s called the Deva Pro White, and it’s 250g with synthetic cover, cromoly rails, center channel comfort zone and DNA padding.  It uses WTB’s flex-tuned shell to add comfort.  While the Deva name implies its a women’s only saddle, they said a number of men use them to.  It’s intended for elite road, XC and gravity racing and is a mid-width, shorter design (142mm x 257mm).

At the top is the Team Carbon Valcon (no cutout), and at the bottom is a new color for their SST.  The retro brown is a product of consumer demand, and it’s also available in their Rocket V model.  The SST version comes with Ti rails and weighs in at 240g.

The Devo gets new covers with imprinted graphics rather than stitched graphics, and this White model is a new color for 2010.  All Devo’s come with Ti rails and the Devo Carbon Black (205g) is WTB’s most expensive saddle at $165.

The Rocket V line gets two new Team models with imprinted graphics.  Both use Ti rails and there’s a black (above) and white (below) option.  They weigh 225g and have synthetic covers, flex tuned shells, DNA padding and the Comfort Zone pressure relieve section in the front of the shell.  The only difference is the black gets Kevlar corners and the white has Black Diamond corners.
