2010_felt_gridloc-fixie

In addition to the 2010 road and mountain bikes, Felt Bicycles has a complete line of singlespeed, fixie and city bikes ready to roll.

Shown above is the 2010 Gridloc in a striking garnet and gold colorway with brown leather touch points.  The rear hub is a Sturmey-Archer internally geared 3-speed fixed gear hub shifted by the bar-end mounted SX3 lever.  It has a 3-piece 46T aluminum crankset turning a KMC Go Go singlespeed chain with gold finish, a carbon fork/aluminum steerer and the frame is 7005 Super-lite hydroformed and butted aluminum with rack and fender mounts.  The rear brake and shifter mounts are hidden and removable if you want to convert it to a fixie or pure singlespeed, and rear Track Dropouts are CNC machined with steel inserts.  The Felt BEERNuts tool mounted to the seat tube is attached with wingnuts for easy removal and fits the bolts on the rear axle, making swaps of a flip-flop hub simple when you’re on a ride…and it has a bottle opener for aprés ride refreshments.  Tektro brakes and levers and Felt cockpit parts, including the “Urban Sprawl Cowhorn” handlebar, and a Selle San Marco Regal Vintage suede saddle complete the package.  It rolls on deep dish Felt rims with gold stainless steel spokes. MSRP is $1,199 and it’s available in 51, 54, 56, 68 and 61cm frame sizes.

The 2010 Felt Curbside comes in two colors, the Custard (above) and the original White version w/ red pads and seat (below). The frame is 7005 Super-Lite hydroformed and butted aluminum w/ rack and fender mounts, hidden/removable rear brake cable routing and CNC machined track dropouts with SS inserts.  It comes with a custom top-tube pad.  The fork is Felt’s 1-1/8″ threadless carbon model with aluminum steerer, which is made with clearance for a fender. URBAN Single aluminum crankset with KMC white chain and a flip-flop rear hub with 18T chrome freewheel / 17T fixed cog.  It comes with Tektro brakes and levers and Felt flat bar, stem, seat and post.  Wheels are built on Felt’s aluminum 30mm deep V-section aero rims with white SS spokes.  Like the Gridloc, it comes with the BEERNuts tool.  MSRP is $699 and it comes in the same sizes as above.

2010_felt_dispatch-fixie

The 2010 Felt Dispatch uses a road-designed single speed frame with 7005 Super-Lite hydroformed and butted tubes and the same general features as the Curbside, including the fork, cable routing and dropouts.  It gets an FSA Vero 39T crankset w/ alu guard, KMC chain with a “RustBuster” finish.  The rear hub is a flip-flop with 16T freewheel / 15T fixed cog. It’s spec’d with Cane Creek SCR-5 Aero Road Levers w/ extra “dummy” lever, Tektro Long Reach dual pivot brakes caliper for fender clearance and Felt bar stem, post and road saddle.  Alex R500 rims laced to aluminum track hubs with SS spokes. BEERNut tool included for $699.  Same sizes as above models.

The 2010 Felt Brougham comes in two colors and two models…one with brakes, one without (UPDATE: It was photographed both ways, but it’s only available with brakes).  The color choices are Raw (above) and Black (below), click on the images to enlarge them.  The Brougham is built on a track-specific custom butted 4130 tig-welded Cromoly frame with oversized downtube, butted/tapered seatstays and horizontal machined dropouts.  The fork is Felt’s track specific Cr-Mo 1-1/8″ model, and it’s drilled for a front brake.  They’re built with a Track cold forged aluminum crank with a 47T ring spinning a 17T fixed or freewheel (flip-flop).  Tektro brakes/levers and Felt cockpit bits round out the package.  $499 MSRP, available in 51, 54, 56, 58, 61cm sizes.

CITY / COMMUTER BIKES

2010_felt_x-city-1_m

The X-City line is Felt’s speedier commuter series of urban street fighters, with the upper models equipped with internally geared hubs for easy pedaling and clean lines.  They all use Felt’s 6061 aluminum frame with hydroformed top tube and are designed for use with a rigid fork only.  The X-City 1, 2 and 3 have an adjustable eccentric BB, while the lower-end 5 and 6 (not shown) are built to use rear derailleurs.

The X-City 1 (above) leads the group and comes spec’d with a carbon fork, Shimano Alfine crankset, shifter, hydraulic disc brakes and 8-speed rear hub.  The Felt bar, stem and post are complemented by a Selle Royale Viper saddle.  Wheels are built on Mavic A-317 rims w/ Shimano front hub.  $1,499 MSRP, available in 48, 52, 55 and 58cm (mens) / 44 and 49cm (womens).

The X-City 2 reverses the Super White of the “1” for a Pitch Black colorscheme.  The “2” drops down to an aluminum fork and Shimano Nexus Revo shifters, v-brakes and Nexus 8-speed rear hub.  It gets the same Felt bits, Selle Royale saddle, but switches to WTB rims and a Felt front hub.  MSRP drops to $899.

2010_felt_x-city-3_mThe “Rust Brown Metallic” X-City 3 gets a Truvativ 5-d crankset and Shimano mechanical disc brakes and 3-speed internal gear hub and slightly less supple tires than the X-City 2, but otherwise the spec is mostly the same.  MSRP is $799.

2010_felt_speed-30

The SPEED line is basically a pair of flat-barred road bikes designed for commuting and general fitness.  The 30 (above) and 50 (below) use Felt’s SPEEDbike geometry on a F-Lite butted and smooth welded 7005 aluminum frame with CNC headtube and BB shell and forged dropouts with replaceable derailleur hangar.

The “30” has a carbon-legged fork (alu crown/steerer), Shimano 105 rear der., FSA Vero triple crankset, Tektro mini linear pull brakes and levers and a Felt carbon seatpost. It retails for $999.

The “50” gets a full aluminum fork and slightly lower spec through most of the drivetrain.  Both have Alex R500 rims with a machined braking surface. It retails for $499.  Both are available in 51, 54, 56, 58 and 61cm sizes.

Let’s see what they cost when they hit the UK, usually they just convert the dollar sign into the pound sign, despite the exchange rate.
Oh, the tragedy of living on a small island surrounded by sea.

Colorways? Touchpoints? Come on, this is getting ridiculous.
