New Pedro’s Tulio – A Multitool Built Into A Quick Release Skewer

Named loosely after Tullio Campagnolo (the Godfather of the quick release skewer), the new Pedro’s TÃƒÂ¼lio multi-tool combines two things most cyclists take on every ride: A Multitool and a quick release skewer.

Quite clever, it reduces overall weight, and simplifies your packing list…not to mention keeping the center of gravity lower. Ã‚Â The tool weighs just 99g, which ain’t much different from most skewer-only QR’s, and it houses the following tools:

4 / 5 / 6 / 8 mm hex wrenches
No. 2 philips head screwdriver
Chain tool
3.0 / 3.2 spoke wrenches

It works for both mountain and road bikes with both 130mm and 135mm options (10mm standard QR axles). Ã‚Â At $40, it’s also about as cheap as lightweight skewers, making it a no brainer (IMO) for upgrading. Ã‚Â Ships to bike shops in Spring 2010.
